The mission of the Norfolk Public Schools Security Services is to provide a climate and culture which ensures the care, welfare, safety, and security of students, staff, and visitors during school-sponsored activities and events. We support the School Board’s goal of ensuring a system of safe and secure schools.  This role allows school security officers the opportunity to assist in student achievement and increase parent and community involvement.  Our staff members continually strive to build relationships with students, staff and the community to promote a culture and climate that is conducive to teaching and learning.
