    Smart-e Goal:

    100% of the students at W.H. Taylor Elementary will demonstrate growth of one year or more in their ability to comprehend text. Growth in comprehension will be monitored and measured in grades PREK-1 using informal running records and the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA). Growth in comprehension will be monitored and measured in grades 2-5 using the STAR Assessment.

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

    The countdown to the new 21-22 school year has started.  We are very excited about welcoming all of our Owls back to school full time this Fall.   As new information and guidance is published by the CDC and Virginia officials, you’ll be updated regarding expected mitigation strategies.  We will always keep the health and safety of our Owl families and staff members in the forefront. 


    If you are a new family to W.H. Taylor or a returning family, please download and complete the required registration paperwork before coming to the office to submit your child’s registration.  You can also pick up a packet from the front foyer of the school.  Registration Forms and requirements are listed on the NPS homepage:

    Our summer office hours for registration are Monday – Thursday from 8:30am – 3:30pm.    If you need additional help with registration, please don’t hesitate to reach out via phone (628-2525).
