  • Maeve Stiles Captures Individual Cross Country State Championship

    Maeve Stiles

    Maury senior Maeve Stiles captured the Class 5 Individual State Championship, finishing in a time of 17:38 over the 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) course. That's 41 seconds faster than the second place runner! Maeve captured back-to-back individual titles in the Region 5A championships, leading the Commodore girls cross country team to their second consecutive regional championship. 

    In addition to her running prowess, Maeve is an excellent student in the Medical & Health Specialties program, and also is a member of the Chamber Orchestra.

  • Va SOL

    Fall administration of Virginia Standards of Learning Tests will be administered the weeks of Oct. 21-25 and Nov. 18-22. These are for retesters, first-time test takers, and anyone who is missing a test to graduate. For more information, view the letter from Maury School Test Chair, Mrs. Baker.

  • HRT Student Freedom Pas

    HRT Student Freedom Pass

    On Tuesday, November 12th, the Hampton Roads Transit representatives will be located in the Commodore Lounge from 8 AM until 1 PM to issue Freedom Passes to Maury students. The pass provides free access to HRT buses, The Tide, and the Elizabeth River Ferry

    The passes are available to all students.  You can access the online application form and complete it in advance.  This will greatly speed up the process. For more information, visit the HRT Student Freedom Pass site.

    Have you started thinking about high school next year?

    • Are you a hard working student & interested in the sciences?
    • Have you dreamed of a career in the medical or health fields? Maybe one day becoming a nurse or psychologist or physical therapist or doctor?
    • Do you have a 3.0 or higher GPA? Have you earned credit in Algebra and a another high school level credit, maybe a science course?

  • Maury Rowing

    On Sunday, November 3rd, the Maury girls will be rowing in the Head of the Occoquan in Northern Virginia. This is one of the largest races in the country. (close to 800 boats this year). The following Saturday (Nov. 9), Maury's rowing team will be entering boats in the Head of the Chic in Williamsburg. This is a small race put on by the Williamsburg Boat Club.

  • Fall Sports Team & Individual Pictures

    Field Hockey

    Hayne Photographers will be at Maury on Thursday, October 3rd to take team pictures of all fall sports teams. All fall athletes should bring uniforms to wear in the team pictures.

    The photographers will take individual pictures of athletes, but they should bring payment with them.
