Sherwood Forest Mission-Statement
The staff at Sherwood Forest Elementary School will collaborate to ensure all students leave the school with the ability to think critically and solve problems in all content areas. To accomplish this goal, SFES staff will incorporate research based critical thinking strategies into all areas of instruction. Students' success will be measured by DBA, STAR, and DRA assessments.
Norfolk Public Schools is dedicated to providing opportunities for students to continue learning during this period of school closures. The Department of Curriculum & Instruction has created Learning in Place plans for all subjects in every grade level to ensure students are provided with learning experiences while they are away from school. If you need any assistance please contact your student's teacher through their email address found here:
Learning packets with multiple lessons and activities for every subject will be available on the Norfolk Public Schools website beginning Tuesday, March 17th. The learning packets can be found at this link:
Paper copies of the Learning in Place plans can also be obtained where Grab-n-Go meals will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. beginning Tuesday, March 17th, through Friday, March 27th (weekdays only).
