Granby Announcements

  • There will be an Asynchronous Learning Day on Monday, April 8, 2024, for Norfolk Public Schools’ Students due to the total solar eclipse that is taking place that day.
All NPS’ employees will report to their work locations and follow their regular work schedules on April 8, 2024.
April 8, 2024, will begin at approximately 2:02 p.m. with its maximum view around 3:20 p.m. in Norfolk, Virginia. With the eclipse coinciding with the time when many students are preparing to depart from their school locations or already traveling home, and to better ensure their safety, division administration has decided to utilize banked time for the Asynchronous Learning Day. An independent learning activity focusing on the eclipse will be sent home with students on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 and Thursday, March 28, 2024, allowing time for preparation and anticipation! The packets will also be emailed to Granby students on their NPS email. Students should return their packet to their English teacher.
We have created a webpage that provides a multitude of resources, including links to eye safety tips, here:
We look forward to welcoming students back to the classroom on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, ready and excited to finish out the rest of the school year with renewed curiosity and enthusiasm!
