MAURY HIGH SCHOOL

ATHLETIC TRYOUT INFORMATION

The student/athlete MUST have the following BEFORE they can condition or tryout:

1-Physical dated and signed after May 1, 2024

2-Sudden Cardiac Arrest form signed and dated after May 1, 2024

3-Concussion education form signed and dated after May 1, 2024

In order to practice on the first day a completed physical (all 4 pages) and the concussion and sudden cardiac forms must all be completed and turned into either Ms. Moore, MHS Athletic Trainer or Mr. Staples, MHS Athletic Director.

FALL

CROSS COUNTRY HEAD COACH: BRYAN BENNETT, brbennett@nps.k12.va.us

The cross-country team is conditioning Monday-Friday from 7-9am at two locations. I closely watch the weather and cancel in advance of thunderstorms.

1. Bluebird Park/Jeff Robertson Park in West Ghent (next to the Elizabeth River Trail and the Weyanoke Bird Sanctuary): 1509 Armistead Bridge Rd, Norfolk, VA 23507 - it allows us to avoid car traffic on the trail and it has a water fountain at the park.

2. Lamberts Point Public Open Space - 4301 Powhatan Ave, Norfolk, VA 23508
