CONGRATULATIONS TO MYA BYRD! Mya won her second tennis single state championship!
Please see the district's guidelines for final exams below:
Final exams may be virtual or in-person, depending on the date and the student’s ‘house” assignment
Teachers may use and are encouraged to use projects and other means for final assessments for courses. A traditional exam is not required.
Teachers are encouraged to be flexible with students as they work to recover grades as students work to reach passing grades in their courses.
Final exams may not be required for students to pass a course.
If the final exam score will cause a reduction in the student’s course grade, the final exam score is not to be entered into the gradebook or factored into the final grade.
Final exam grades may only be used to help students not hurt them.
Attendance is mandatory for all exam days for all students (9th-12th Grade).
Seniors - Last day for senior attendance is June 4th. All senior grades for graduation will be finalized by June 7th.
All seniors on Gradpoint wishing to graduate must be completed by June 4th. No exceptions.
9th-11th Graders - Last day for attendance is June 17th
Students: if you have any questions, please contact your teacher.
Schedules are below:
Norfolk Public Schools is working with the Norfolk Department of Public Health to provide an opportunity for Norfolk Public School’s students, that are 16 years of age or older, to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
The Pfizer vaccine has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in individuals aged 16 and 17 years-old with parental permission. The vaccinations will be held at NPS school sites and run by Norfolk Department of Public Health Sites with support from NPS employees.
Students will receive a consent form that needs to be filled out and completed before a vaccination can be given. It is required that 16- and 17-years old students have their parents sign the consent form in order for their child to receive the vaccine. Because we are conducting these events in our schools and must schedule each person who will be vaccinated, we are also requiring those 18 years of age and older to submit the consent form in advance of the event. The form will be distributed during 3rd bell and can also be found here. Please have your student return it to their teacher.
There is no cost associated with receiving the vaccine. Insurance information is not needed. The vaccine will be available to students that are participating in both in-person and virtual learning.
Hayne Photographers will be here Tuesday, 5/4 & Thursday, 5/6 to take underclassmen and staff pictures during the lunch bell.
