Department of Purchases and Supply

  • All supplies, material, equipment and contractual services required by the school division are purchased or contracted, subject to federal and state codes, school board policies, and Norfolk Public Schools’ (NPS) procurement manual and procedures. It is the policy of NPS to encourage full and open competition, centralize purchasing when economies can be realized, and see the maximum educational value for every dollar expended. The Purchases and Supply Department manages all aspects of the following:

    2. Cost savings through competition
    3. Management of District Purchase Card Program
    4. Textbook Inventory and Procurement Management
    5. Vendor Relations
    6. Surplus Property Sales
    7. e-Procurement Systems
