Library Media Services:

Vision: The vision of the Office of Media Services is to provide support, instruction, and resources to library media staff empowering them to unleash their talents, ingenuity, and creativity to achieve the district vision.

Mission: As an integral part of the instructional program of Norfolk Public Schools, the Office of Media Services is committed to:

• working with other educators to design rigorous learning experiences that challenge students to achieve at high levels of performance   
• providing instruction in the essential skills and habits necessary to ensure that students and staff are effective users of information
• providing equitable access to current resources and information
• providing lifelong learning experiences that encourage users to be discriminating consumers and skilled creators of information
