The summer meals program is open to all children 18 & under, free of cost. Select locations start serving summer meals on Monday, June 21st.
The summer meals program spans beyond schools to various recreation centers, camps, community centers, and libraries across Norfolk to help us reach Norfolk children where they already are.
No enrollment necessary, just simply show up to a feeding site during serving times.

As the new school year approaches, please not the following updates to our Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
Free breakfast and lunch will continue to be offered on all operational days to children participating in educational and childcare programs occurring in Norfolk Public Schools.
Grab-N-Go breakfast and lunch for any child (age 18 and under) will continue free of charge at select locations throughout the city. Meals may be picked up by a child or an adult. Multiple days of food may be picked up at one time. Meals for the weekend will be available on the last serving day of each week.
Effective August 9, Grab-N-Go meals (choice of hot and cold options) will be available at the following schools, Monday- Thursday, 12:00 PM- 1:30 PM. The last day is August 26. Sites are subject to change, based on participation and other factors. Please visit nps.k12.va.us/nutrition for updates.

If you need meals for your child and cannot get to any of the NPS sites listed above, or if you need food for the week of August 30- September 2, please text “FOOD” to 877877 to locate other SFSP programs that may be operating in your area. Summer P-EBT will be issued by the VA Department of Social Services on August 25. All students who were enrolled in NPS as of June 17, are automatically eligible.
When the new school year begins, NPS will offer meals free of charge to students under the Seamless Summer option of the National School Lunch Program. No meal applications are needed.
