The City of Norfolk School Board has begun its search for a new Superintendent of Schools. The Board has created an inclusive and efficient process for hiring a new superintendent that includes the support of staff, parents, students, businesses and the community. McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development, a professional organization that specializes in nation-wide school executive searches, has been hired to facilitate the superintendent search.

The first and vital step in the selection process is to involve the community by seeking public input into the characteristics and qualities important in a new superintendent.
