The Department of Communications and Community Engagement chronicles the work and mission of Norfolk Public Schools, highlighting its extraordinary efforts to provide a world-class education to the students in our care. We tell this story with innovation, passion, and dedication, striving always to advance new means of connecting with our families while simultaneously honing our skill on tried-and-true communications tools. We undertake this work with a focus on attendance, literacy, and accountability, and in alignment with the division’s strategic plan, Continuing the Drive | Equity and Excellence for All.
Communications listens to its community and nurtures two-way communication with our stakeholders. We provide a view into daily life at NPS, and we celebrate the division’s milestones and successes, students, and staff. We offer compelling content that educates, informs, and engages our community.
Finally, Communications and Community Engagement provides timely, thorough, and accurate responses to public records requests.
