LT Davidson was raised in Oak Ridge, TN. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1988. He enlisted into the USNAVY in December 1990.
After completing boot camp in Great Lakes, IL and “A” School in Dam Neck, VA, he reported to USS Pensacola (LSD 38) stationed at Little Creek Naval Base, Norfolk VA and served onboard from May 1991 to October 1995. While there, he completed two six-month deployments to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf. He then transferred to Naval Recruiting District, Atlanta, GA, serving Naval Recruiting Station Sumter, SC from December 1995 to January 1998. He earned three Gold Wreaths for recruiting excellence.
In 1998 he transferred to the USS Shreveport (LPD12) in Norfolk, VA. and served onboard from March 1998 to April 2004. While serving there he was appointed as the Leading Petty Officer of OI Division, earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare pin and ultimately was advanced to the rank of Petty Officer First Class. He completed two Gulf deployments serving as the Combat Information Center Watch Officer. In May 2004 he was transferred to OS “A” Schools at Dam Neck, VA and earned his qualification as a Master Training Specialist. He was promoted to Chief Petty Officer in September 2004 and became the Leading Chief Petty Officer of Radar Navigation and Tactical Data Analysis course of instruction(s).
He was commissioned via the Limited Duty Officer program in February 2008 to the rank of Ensign. He was assigned to Naval Security Force Bahrain as the Anti-Terrorism Officer/Military Working Dog Division Officer. In March 2009 he reported aboard USS Monterey (CG 61) as the Air Defense Office/Assistant Operations Officer. He completed one Mediterranean/Fifth Fleet deployment as the Ballistic Missile Defense unit. Simultaneously, during this tour he completed his BS degree from Southern Illinois University.
He was assigned to Commander Undersea Surveillance in April 2012 as the Assistance Training Officer. While there he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He departed the command early to be appointed as the Combat Information Center Officer/ Assistant Operations Officer aboard the USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 60). He completed one 8-month deployment, qualified as Officer of the Deck and Surface Warfare Officer.. Upon completion of the Churchill tour, he was assigned as the Operations Officer for COMSPRON TWO from December 2014 to February 2016 a forward-deployed command stationed out of Diego Garcia. There he managed the operational commitments of 12 USNS ships servicing the USA, USAF and USMC afloat staging bases. His last tour was at Naval Ocean Processing Facility Dam Neck in March 2016, serving as the Tactical Watch Officer. He retired from active-duty service after 28years of service.
His personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, (5) Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals, Voluntary Service Medal and various other service and campaign awards. Family members include children Jordan, Ashia, Kaseem and Alexander. He is the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren, Jaedyn, Cameron, Jordan, Kylan, Cameron, Zion, Kai, and Jaise.
