Mr. Gregg J. Mottinger

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Mr. Mottinger earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University in 2007, where he was a member of the Men’s Soccer Team from 2003 to 2007. He began his career in Norfolk Public Schools as a Health and Physical Education teacher and Varsity Soccer Coach, serving five years at Lake Taylor High School and three years at The Academy of International Studies at Rosemont. In 2016, he earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University.

For the past seven years, Mr. Mottinger has served as Assistant Principal at Norview High School, where he helped lead the Pilots to be recognized as a Top Distinguished School by U.S. News & World Report, named one of America’s Most Challenging and Highest Achieving Schools by Cognia, and achieved full accreditation. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to fostering academic excellence, promoting a positive school culture, and ensuring the success of all students.
