Dr. Latesha Wade-Jenkins, Principal
Dr. Wade-Jenkins has worked in Norfolk Public Schools for over 17 years and has served as an English Teacher, Department Chairperson, Instructional Specialist, International Baccalaureate Middle Years Coordinator, and an Assistant Principal. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Secondary Education from Norfolk State University, a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
Dr. Wade-Jenkins is passionate about teaching and learning and desires to see all students empowered through education. She is excited to join the Titan Family and committed to working with the faculty and staff to ensure that all students maximize their academic potential, develop skills for lifelong learning, and are successful contributors to a global society.

Ms. Stacie Armstead, Assistant Principal
Ms. Stacie Armstead is a Norfolk native and graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lynchburg College. Upon graduating from Lynchburg College, Ms. Armstead began her career with Norfolk Public Schools. Recognizing that she wanted to have a greater impact on student achievement, she attended Norfolk State University to receive a Master of Arts in Urban Education: Administration and Supervision PreK-12. Ms. Armstead was a Science Teacher, Science Department Chairperson, and Dean of Students at the middle and high school level before she became an Assistant Principal. Ms. Armstead extends her leadership beyond the school walls. She is active within her community and resides in Norfolk with her two daughters.

Mr. Joshua Brooks, Assistant Principal
Hailing from The Bronx, NY, Mr. Brooks is a passionate and forward-thinking urban educational leader with over a decade of impactful experience in the field. With a strong foundation in English Language Arts instruction, Mr. Brooks has consistently exceeded expectations, demonstrating a deep commitment to student success, equity, and academic excellence.
Throughout his career, Mr. Brooks has been recognized for his excellence in teaching, mentorship, public service, and leadership. He brings a wealth of experience in classroom management, instructional design, culturally responsive pedagogy, and social-emotional learning. His skill set also includes equity-building strategies, relationship development, community outreach, and research-based best practices.
Mr. Brooks holds a B.A. in African American Studies and English from the University of Buffalo, an M.A. in Clinically Based English Education from New York University, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Administration and Supervision from Old Dominion University.
Previously, Mr. Brooks served as a culturally competent, supportive, and student-centered Dean of Students at Blair Middle School in Norfolk, VA. In this role, he was instrumental in fostering a positive school culture, implementing restorative practices, and supporting students through proactive behavioral interventions.
He currently serves as Assistant Principal at Lake Taylor High School, where he continues to build on his commitment to academic excellence, student advocacy, and transformational leadership. In this role, he works to empower both students and staff while driving school-wide improvement and equitable outcomes.
Mr. Brooks believes in building strong children through engagement, inquiry, and love. He empowers his students to be active participants in their education, instilling in them the values of curiosity and knowledge-sharing. His daily mantra is simple yet powerful:
“Always seek knowledge. Always spread knowledge.”

Dr. Joy Gallop, Assistant Principal
Dr. Gallop has been an educator in the STEM field for 23 years. Although she spent most of her career as a Chemistry instructor, she has also taught several other sciences, including Earth Science, Biology, AP Environmental Science, and Oceanography. Also, Dr. Gallop has held several leadership positions during her 17 years with Norfolk Public Schools, including science department chair, 9th grade transition leader, and most recently, STEM Specialist.
Dr. Gallop attained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Howard University, a Master of Science in Urban Education – Administration and Supervision from Norfolk State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management with a concentration in STEM from Hampton University.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Gallop has been happily married and enjoying raising her two beautiful daughters. She loves to cook Sunday dinners and bake sweet treats for her family and friends. Dr. Gallop believes that every student deserves a free, appropriate, equitable, and rigorous education, and she is passionate about ensuring that educational stakeholders are held accountable for outstanding teaching and learning.
