Ms. Kenyetta O'Neal

Ms. O'Neal is one of our assistant principals. She received a BS in Chemistry from Columbus State University and holds a Master of Education from Old Dominion University. She's taught science at both Norview Middle and Norview High School. Dean O'Neal has a passion for all young people and desires to help them become the best version of themselves. She looks forward to each day serving the students in the Norview community and the challenges that come along with pushing them into their destiny. Dean O'Neal's mantra is, "Whatever you do, don't do it for the income, do it for the outcome." This has proved to have more value than monetary gifts ever will.

With 20 years of dedicated service in Norfolk Public Schools, Mr. Lewis brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership to the role of Dean. Having taught Health and Physical Education as well as Leadership Development, Mr. Lewis has a proven track record of fostering student growth, promoting wellness, and inspiring future leaders. Passionate about creating inclusive and empowering learning environments, Mr. Lewis is committed to supporting students and staff in achieving their full potential.

Ms. Robin Privott - 7th Grade Dean

Ms. Privott is a proud product of Norfolk Public Schools, having attended Ingleside Elementary, Lake Taylor Middle School, and graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Virginia State University.
 
With a strong foundation in education and a deep-rooted commitment to her community, Ms. Privott began her teaching career in English Language Arts at Rosemont Middle and Norview Middle Schools. Her passion for working with youth is evident in her dedication to helping students grow both academically and personally.
 
As Dean of Students, Ms. Privott is focused on fostering a culture of accountability and respect. She firmly believes in guiding students to understand that every action has a consequence and that integrity should be a cornerstone of their decision-making.
 
Her personal mantra is:

"Right is right and wrong is wrong. Getting away with wrong does not make it right, so do the right thing at all times."

Ms. Keisha Jackson - 8th Grade Dean

Keisha Jackson is a dedicated educator and the current 8th Grade Dean of Students at Norview Middle School, where she leads with purpose, passion, and a deep commitment to student success. With 19 years of experience in Norfolk Public Schools, Dean Jackson has worn many hats—beginning her career as a Middle School English Teacher, and later serving as a Reading Interventionist, Reading Specialist, and School Testing Coordinator. 
 
Throughout her journey, she has remained unwavering in her belief that every child deserves a champion—someone who sees their potential and helps them rise to meet it. Her experience in literacy and leadership has equipped her to support not only academic achievement but also the personal growth and development of the students she serves.
 
Dean Jackson is passionate about creating nurturing, high-expectation environments where students feel seen, valued, and empowered. Her work is guided by the belief that education is not just a career, but a calling—and she continues to answer that call with heart, integrity, and excellence.
