Mrs. Vandelyn Hodges is a native Virginian raised in Suffolk, VA, with over 25 years of serving the Hampton Roads community as an educator. She graduated from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach. Soon after, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from Norfolk State University.
Her teaching career began in Portsmouth Public Schools and transitioned to Norfolk Public Schools. She has taught second through fifth-grade students, served as a literacy teacher, school improvement chair, and content lead teacher. Her love for supporting her students academically and meeting their socio-emotional needs has always been a key motivator throughout her career.
Mrs. Hodges and her husband have lived in Norfolk, VA, for over 20 years and have a vested interest in the public school system's success. She strongly believes in collaborating with parents and teachers to ensure that the best practices are implemented daily for our students. Mrs. Vandelyn Hodges is proud to be in the Willard Family Home of the Sharks and look forward to supporting your students as we "Chomp into Comprehension."
