Welcome to Willoughby Early Childhood Center!!

My name is Mr. Laundrell Gates. This is my seventh year as the principal at WECC. Overall, I have 25 years of experience with Norfolk Public Schools. I started my career as a special education teacher at Ocean View ES and moved on to administration as an assistant principal at Jacox ES and Southside STEM Academy at Campostella. I look forward to a great 25-26 school year! At Willoughby ECC, we teach the heart and the mind. The staff and I will continue to serve our colleagues, students, and parents with Professionalism, Grace, and Positivity.
