Hospital School Programs at CHKD

Children's Pavilion School Program

The Children's Pavilion School Program supports the CHKD Children's Pavilion and offers students a range of educational services. When enrolled, K-12 students are scheduled into classes based on grade level, with their curriculum aligned to the Virginia Standards of Learning. They receive instruction in the four content areas (English/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies).  Students further participate in art and physical education. Daily instruction with social-emotional learning (SEL) is also provided. Students receive support with special education/504 plans and processes as needed in the hospital setting.
