Hello, Oceanair Elementary School community!

My name is Jason Koonce, and I am excited about the 2025-2026 school year.  This will be my 20th year as an educator in Norfolk Public Schools.  I have been at Oceanair Elementary for 10 years; first as a Mathematics Specialist and then the last five years as an Assistant Principal. 

I am just as excited about this year as I have been every year at Oceanair Elementary.  I look forward to another year of growth and success while supporting students, staff, and the community in achieving academic excellence. 

I am here to serve the children of the Oceanair Elementary Community – No Matter What!
