Adult Evening Programs
This 13 week courses prepare students to assist licensed pharmacists in delivering health care services to clients in a variety of settings, such as, community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, long-term care pharmacies, mail order pharmacies etc. This program will prepare students to take the State Board Examination.

Clinical Medical Assisting (NEW COURSE)
This course prepares students to assist the physician in a medical office in a clinical capacity. The Clinical Medical Assisting course is composed of a lecture component as well as hands on instruction. The lectures cover topics such as anatomy and physiology of the body, disease processes, diagnostic testing and medical abbreviations and terminology. The hands on segment includes identifying instruments, vital signs, infection control, basic lab testing, phlebotomy and giving injections. This program will prepare students to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification Exam (CCMA).

Medical Terminology (NEW COURSE)
This course provides an understanding of medical terms and abbreviations used in the health care field. It includes the study of prefixes, suffixes and wood roots with an emphasis on proper spelling, pronunciation and usage. All body systems will be covered as well as pharmacology, radiology and psychiatry. No prior knowledge of medical terminology is needed to take this course.

Computer Literacy for the Workplace
This 9-week course provides the foundation for computer use in the workplace. Participants will receive hands-on experiences with applications related to successful employment in a technological work environment. Topics of instruction include, but are limited to the following: operating systems, surfing the Internet, email, instant messaging, videoconferencing, social networks such as LinkedIn, blogging, internet security, and developing career portfolios.

Microsoft Word 2013
WORD is a word processing application which produces documents such as letters and reports. Features include letters, reports, form newsletters, and brochures. Templates, clipart, macros and other personalized and business features will be included.

Microsoft Excel 2013
EXCEL is the spreadsheet application of the Office 2000 programs. Features include setting up worksheets, and concepts, entering formulas, formatting cells, creating charts, linking querying databases, and macros. Both personalized and business projects will be taught.

POWER POINT is a complete presentation graphic programs. It gives you everything you need to produce a professional-looking presentation. Features include word processing, outlining, drawing, text, images, shapes, charts, and tables.

Microsoft Publisher 2013
PUBLISHER is a great app for creating visually rich, professional-looking publications without investing lots of money and time in a complicated desktop publishing application.

Oxyacetylene (Flame cutting and welding) and arc welding skills are taught. Safety is stresses throughout this course which covers the basic skills running short and continuous beads, welding in the flat position and welding butt joints. This class is for beginners through journeymen who wish to improve their skills. Small classes ensure attention to the individual student’s needs.
