Damaged iPad Procedures
The following procedure is to be followed for a damaged iPad.
1. Access Apple Self Service Website
2. Type in device serial number.
3. Determine whether AppleCare+ Warranty coverage has expired
a. Covered by both Apple Warranty and AppleCare+ Warranty
Your product is covered for eligible hardware repairs and service under AppleCare+. Estimated Expiration Date:
b. Covered under Apple Warranty but no AppleCare+ Warranty Purchased
Your product is covered for eligible hardware repairs and service under Apple’s Limited Warranty.Estimated Expiration Date:
c. Apple Warranty and AppleCare+ Warranty expired
Our records indicate that your product is not covered under Apple’s 1-year limited warranty or AppleCare+ Protection Plan for hardware repairs and service based on the estimated expiration date.
Device Covered under AppleCare+ Warranty
1. Disable Find my iPad
2. Contact the Helpdesk to have the damaged iPad repaired/replaced.
Device not Covered under AppleCare+ Warranty or AppleCare+ Warranty is expired (Replacement will be School / Department responsibility)
1. Disable Find my iPad
2.Turn in damaged iPad to Site Engineer for disposition.
