On March 5, 2020 from 5:30 pm - 7 pm, Granby High School's Career & Technical Ed. & Library Media Department & ODU's Engineering Technology Department & Department of STEM Education & Professional Studies partnered to host a very special evening where families and staff enjoyed technology, cryptograms, robots, merge cubes and activities. Granby's after school engineering programs: Girls In Engineering & First Tech Challenge and the 3-D Print Club hosted discussion tables about their respective programs. Lisa Ward and Paula Eisen, Granby's Librarians, provided a book display with a list of books about inventors, their technological innovations and place in history and websites with coding games and activities for all ages. And to top it off, Chef Knittle and the Culinary students prepared a delicious spread for all who attended. It was a fun filled evening.
This event was made possible by the Perkins grant received by Old Dominion University’s Engineering Department & Research Foundation and Norfolk Public Schools Career & Technical Ed. Department.
