2020 Impact Aid Survey Card

Good evening NPS Parents and Guardians,

This call is to advise that your child received an Impact Aid Survey Card, also known as a federal card, this week.  The Impact Aid program allows school districts like NPS the opportunity to receive much-needed funds based on enrollment of federally connected children.  Annually, NPS receives an average of $3 million from the federal government as a result of these survey cards being returned.  This money can be used for teacher salaries, textbooks, and after school or tutoring programs.

Active-duty military dependents are certainly federally connected, but did you know, if you are a reservist, live or work in a public or military housing community, or even if you work at the airport you could be considered federally connected? Ensuring that you properly report this information means more money for our district and our students.

So, we need your help.  Please take a few moments to complete a survey card for each child in your household and have them return it to their teacher by Thursday, October 31, 2019.

As a reminder, the Federal Impact Survey period begins today, October 28, and all cards need to be returned no later than Thursday, October 31, 2019, for elementary, middle and high school students.

Each card represents dollars that could be spent on valuable resources needed to support our students on their educational journey.  Information will be held in the strictest of confidence.

For more information, visit the NPS website to review the flyer and if you have questions, email fiac@npsk12.com.
