Seven Norfolk AP faculty members earn College Board scholarships

Seven Advanced Placement (AP) teachers within Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) have received scholarships that will serve to further their professional development.  The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) notified school districts in the Commonwealth of the selections via press release on May 10.  A total of 22 instructors were selected.  Conference attendees will participate in more than 30 hours of instruction to further educate them on best practices.  We congratulate the following outstanding NPS faculty members:

• Thomas Fulcher, Lake Taylor High (AP Psychology)
• Helen Martin, Maury High (AP United States Government and Politics)
• Kari Miller, Lake Taylor High (AP Human Geography)
• Luisa Restrepo, Maury High (AP Spanish Language and Culture)
