Two Elementary Schools Receive Highest Ratings by Virginia Quality Birth to Five System

Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is proud to share strong results from the Virginia Quality Birth to Five System (VQB5), as reported by the Virginia Department of Education.
Two NPS schools, Chesterfield Academy Elementary School and Granby Elementary School received the highest VQB5 rating of “Exceeds Expectations,” earning places on the statewide VQB5 Honor Roll for Excellence.
Additionally, St. Helena Elementary School has been named to the Honor Roll – Improvement in recognition of significant progress across multiple quality indicators.
NPS is also pleased to report that all remaining preschool sites across the division earned a rating of “Meets Expectations,” demonstrating strong and consistent delivery of high-quality early learning experiences aligned with state standards.
