Norfolk Public Schools Community Redistricting Meetings Scheduled for Phase II of Consolidation Plan

In preparation for Phase II of the Norfolk Public Schools Consolidation Plan, all families and community members are invited to join us for four important Community Redistricting Meetings.

On May 13-14, 2026, come and hear detailed presentations about Phase II of Norfolk Public Schools Consolidation Plan. There will be a presentation and then open discussions and time for stakeholders’ questions to be answered about the five upcoming school closures planned at the end of the 2027-2028 school year.

Below are the meeting times and locations:
May 13, 2026:

  • Start time of 3:45 p.m., at Granby Elementary School
  • Start time of 6:30 p.m., at Tarrallton Elementary School

May 14, 2026:

  • Start time of 3:45 p.m., at P.B Young Elementary School
  • Start time of 6:30 p.m., at Lindenwood Elementary School

Below are the five schools scheduled to close as part of the Consolidation Plan Phase II:

  1. Tarrallton Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)
  2. Granby Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)
  3. Ghent K-8 (scheduled to be relocated to Academy of International Studies at Rosemont in June 2027)
  4. Lindenwood Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)
  5. P.B. Young Elementary (scheduled to close in June 2027)

Norfolk Public Schools will have Spanish translators on hand as part of these planned meetings.
