Hello! My name is Mrs. Brown and I have been teaching for 29 years. I spent my first years teaching elementary school in Suffolk and then Norfolk. After six years I moved to middle school and became certified as a Reading Specialist. I taught at Ruffner Academy here in Norfolk for 14 years. This is my ninth year at W. H. Taylor where I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. 

I have one daughter and three granddaughters. I enjoy walking my adorable dog, Betty Boop, baking, jigsaw puzzles, and watching Netflix. The thing I love most of all in this world right now is Hamilton. By the way, there's still "a million things I haven't done!" I plan to check a lot of those million things off my list once I retire at the end of next year!
