Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. LaTesa S. White

Teacher-Science 7th Grade

My name is Ms. White, and I am one of the seventh and eighth-grade science teachers at Azalea Gardens Middle School. I attended Hampton University, where I received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and a Master's of Science in Medical Science. Because of my interest and passion for education, I received a master's degree in Education and Curriculum Instruction from Averett University. The 2020-2021 school year will mark my tenth year of teaching with Norfolk Public Schools. On my off time, I enjoy spending time with my daughters, putting together jigsaw puzzles, fellowshipping with members of my church community, participating in neighborhood cleanups, landscaping, and many more activities.
