Credit / Placement by Exam

Norfolk Public Schools does not generally award credit by exam for World Languages except in rare circumstances. Read out to the Office of World Languages for more information. 

Students who enroll in NPS from a homeschool environment or a private school environment without verifiable credits will take a placement assessment to determine the correct World Language course. Students will not earn credits for “skipped” courses, i.e.. if a student tests into French II, the student will NOT earn a credit for French I.
