Kindergarten Promotion Standards

Students in Kindergarten will be promoted to first grade based on meeting the following criteria:

• Achieving seventy percent (70%) or higher mastery of the kindergarten standards, academic skills, and content noted by an asterisk on the student's quarterly report card
• Achievement of Stage III (Phonetic) or above on the Developmental Writing Stages Section for the Writing Portfolio.
• End of the fourth quarter independent reading level: Preprimer (Independent DRA 4)
