Office of Media Services

The Office of Media Services supports Norfolk Public Schools by providing leadership, resources, and professional learning that empower Library Media Specialists to promote literacy, inquiry, digital citizenship, and student achievement across all grade levels.

What We Do

The Office of Media Services:

• Supports Library Media Specialists in elementary, middle, and high schools.
• Promotes literacy, reading engagement, and lifelong learning.
• Provides equitable access to high-quality print, digital, and multimedia resources.
• Supports information literacy, media literacy, and digital citizenship instruction.
• Coordinates library programs, initiatives, and resource management.
• Facilitates professional learning, collaboration, and best practices.
• Supports instructional technology integration and innovative learning experiences.
• Partners with administrators, teachers, and support staff to enhance teaching and learning.
• Empowers Library Media Specialists as instructional partners and school leaders.
