Capital Improvements
A replacement building opened for Crossroads School (PreK-8) in 2012.  At the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, replacement buildings opened for Campostella Elementary School, which is now named the Southside STEM Academy at Campostella (K-8), and Richard Bowling Elementary School.

The School Board is working toward a number of construction priorities, including replacement buildings for Larchmont Elementary School, Camp Allen Elementary School, and Ocean View Elementary School, as well as a new comprehensive career and technical education high school.

Discipline & Safety
Students are encouraged to demonstrate positive behavior according to the Standards of Student Conduct. The school division has implemented Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), which outlines expectations for children, families, and staff, and promotes collaboration in meeting and exceeding expectations.
