Tarrallton Elementary and Naval Station Norfolk celebrate 100

Tarrallton Elementary School celebrated the 100th Day of School with representatives from Naval Station Norfolk (NAVSTA), as it celebrates its 100th Anniversary on Friday, February 17, 2017. Captain Beaver, Commanding Officer of NAVSTA provided a brief history of the base to students ranging from 1st to 4th grades. He also discussed information about the upcoming celebrations surrounding the installation's centennial.

In honor of the 100th Day of School, each of the grade levels at Tarrallton chose representatives who took part in officially presenting hand-made banners to Captain Beaver in appreciation of his visit.
