arrow  GETTING READY FOR ALGEBRA

The Getting Ready for Algebra Programis a non-credit course designed to strengthen and reinforce algebraic concepts and skills, enable students to prepare for more rigorous mathematics, and help students become effective mathematical problem solvers.  The program is open to interested middle school students in grades 7 and 8 (rising 8-9) with a limit of 25 students per class.  Students must be registered for Algebra I for the 2007-08 school year and be recommended by the current mathematics teacher.  Bus transportation will be provided for Norfolk residents.

Location:           Lake Taylor High School

Dates:               
Session I:  Monday, June 23, 2008- Friday, July 11, 2008

Session II: Monday, July 14, 2008 - Thursday, July 31, 2008

Day/Time:         
Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
