General School Information - DisciplineDiscipline
It is the policy and practice of Norfolk Public Schools to operate safe, secure and orderly schools. Students are expected to abide by all rules and regulations. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and acts of violence will result in removal from school and possible legal actions.
In accordance with this policy, the School Board has approved and the school administration has implemented the rules and procedures contained in a pamphlet entitled Code of Student Conduct. This pamphlet is distributed to each student at the beginning of each school year or upon registration for new students. The pamphlet contains a form which must be signed by a parent or guardian and returned to school. Please read the pamphlet carefully.
Unauthorized items (radios, laser lights, tape recorders, toys, electronic games, balls, etc.) or weapons of any kind (gun, knife, razor, ice pick, fireworks, caps, starter pistols, live ammunition, or any look-alike weapons, etc.) are not allowed on school property or in school.
