Contacting Schools and Staff

Parents/guardians and others in the community are welcome at all times in the schools. Visitors must report to the office upon entering the school building and receive a visitor's pass to visit with a class or meet with a teacher.

Parents who wish to talk with a teacher must call and make an appointment in advance. No conferences are scheduled during the instructional day, only before and after school hours. Parents are urged to discuss all problems with teachers before contacting the principal. If your child's teacher does not respond to your request for a conference, please contact the principal to arrange a meeting.

There is one day a year set aside for a parent/teacher conference. Except in emergency situations, teachers will not be called to the telephone during regular school hours. However, school secretaries will take a message and have the teacher return the call. Parents whose children have forgotten money, lunches, books, and other items should bring these items to the school office. Parents are asked not to call the school to give messages to students unless it is an emergency. Students will not be allowed to use the phone except in an emergency. Please notify the office immediately if there is a change in the student's home phone ore emergency number or home address.
