Career & Technical Education & Adult Education Services

The Department of Career and Technical Education and Adult Education Services provides students with the necessary training and skills to become productive citizens, focusing on student preparation for the future through a blend of academics and technical skills.

The program also prepares students for particular fields of study that require rigorous mastery of both academic and technical skills to enter the world of work, further education, the military, or postsecondary education. This department supports instruction in nine middle schools, five high schools, one technical center, the Coronado School, and Madison Career Center.

Adult offerings span the city, meeting the needs of the community through the offering of Adult Basic Education (ABE), high school diploma completion, General Education Development (GED), English-as-a-Second Language (ESL), apprenticeship programs, and occupational skills training.
