Minutes of the Monthly School Board Meeting
October 24, 2007

School Board Public Hearing

The School Board convened the public hearing in the auditorium of Larrymore Elementary School, 7600 Halprin Drive, in Norfolk, Virginia.  Present were: Chair Bishop, Vice Chair Rhodes, Mr. Cook, Dr. McCluney, Dr. Tonelson, Dr. Wright, and Clerk Rhodes. Superintendent Jones, Chief Financial Officer Schmitt, and Budget Director Jane Pellegrino were also present. 

Mr. Bishop led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.  He introduced members of the School Board and thanked Dr. Thomas McAnulty, principal, and his staff for their hospitality.  Mr. Schmitt and Mrs. Pellegrino gave an overview of the budget process.

Public comments were heard from the following persons:
