Minutes of the Monthly School Board Meeting
July 31, 2007

The School Board convened the work session at 5:05 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Conference Room of the School Administration Building, located at 800 E. City Hall Avenue, in Norfolk, Virginia.  Present were:  Chair Bishop, Mr. Cook, Mr. Driggers, Dr. McCluney, Dr. Tonelson, Dr. Wright, and Clerk Rhodes.  Vice Chair Rhodes was absent.  Also present were Dr. Jones, Chief of Staff Young, Chief Academic Officer Boone, and Dr. O’Konek.   Dr. Joan Anderson, Senior Director of Special Education Services was present along with several staff members from the department.

The members discussed the reorganization plan for special education. 

The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
