Minutes of the School Board Work Session
April 30, 2007

EXECUTIVE SESSION—CLOSED

The School Board convened the work session at 4:17 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Conference Room of the School Administration Building, located at 800 E. City Hall Avenue, in Norfolk, Virginia.  Present were:  Chair Bishop, Vice Chair Rhodes, Mr. Cook, Mr. Driggers, Dr. McCluney, Dr. Tonelson and Clerk Rhodes.  Dr. Wright was absent.   Dr. Linda O’Konek and Dr. Christine Harris were present to facilitate the discussion on updating the accountability plan for 2007-08. 

Questions asked were:

1.         Where are we?

• Review of data collection for 2006-07
• What additional data do we need to collect by the end of May?

2.         What does our data tell us?

• Goal not accomplished:  action needed
• Goal accomplished:  next year follow-up plan

3.         Next Year

• Brainstorm 2007-08 Accountability Plan

The meeting adjourned at 6 p.m.
