    RUNNING CLUB

The focus of the Willard Elementary School Running Club is to encourage lifetime fitness.  Students will practice goal setting and tracking weekly mileage.  Students are encouraged to run but walking is great too!  We partner each year with the 100 Mile Club, the NFLs Fuel Up to play 360 and the Shamrock Marathon's Final Mile.  The students work to acquire 25.2 miles at Willard and then run their “final mile” of the 26.2 mile marathon on March 18th at Virginia Beach Ocean front.  The students also win prizes, t-shirts and are recognized on the school news program as they reach their goals. The club meets every Wednesday from 3:20-4:30 and the students have fun and increase their fitness!!!

    ART CLUB

Art Club students meet Thursday’s after school and should be picked up promptly at 4:30. There are two groups of art club students that will alternate Thursday meetings. The groups have been divided by class. Students in Ms. Whiley’s class are Group A and students in Ms. Kinney and Ms. Butterfield’s class are Group B. The two groups will alternate weeks.  The schedule is provided below.

Art Club has been known to make a mess so I encourage all students to bring an art shirt or old t-shirt.  Also, please feel free to send your child with a snack and drink.
