School days missed because of inclement weather will be made up in accordance with plans developed by the Superintendent.
August 25, 26, 27, 28, & 29 - within building Teacher/Principal workdays. Up to two (2) hours of each of these workdays may be reserved for Principal organized in building activities.

NOTE: There will be an early release day each day.
School Board meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of each month in the school administration building. All of the board meetings will be evening meetings with the formal session beginning at 7:00 pm The informal closed session will begin at 3:00 pm and the informal open session will begin at 4:00 pm
All School Board meetings will be held in the School Administration Building, 800 East City Hall Avenue, room number 1202. For further information and accurate meeting dates, please contact the School Board office at (757) 628-3843.
On occasion, when special meetings are called or when other times and places for regular meetings become necessary, such changes are publicly announced in local newspapers. All meetings are open to the public, except for executive sessions which may be held for the purpose of discussing items as specified in the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.
